Quick Textured Corner to Corner Blanket

So I managed to escape from work for a week and have a holiday up in the North East of England. I thought I would get a lot of knitting done with all the driving. However, the roads in Durham and Northumberland are not conducive to knitting!! I still managed to get this blanket finished. It knits up really quickly. It took me two evenings to make but if you aren’t exhausted from all day hiking it would probably only take you one. I hope you like it!

  3. Hi Dawn,
So the blanket works on 4 repeats alternating with stocking stitch and garter stich. The way to continue increasing the pattern is when you reach row 58, instead of decreasing continue with the yo at the start of the row work in pattern across the row, when you get to the middle 8 garter stitches, instead of knitting across them, K4, P2, K4 then follow on in pattern. This will start the next diamond. To carry on the increasing, make sure you do a yarn over at the beginning of each row. When your middle section of stitches reaches 8 you split them into groups of 4 and begin to grow the next diamond. Hopefully that makes sense? Alternatively, you could do the blanket as a panel blanket?
Let me know if that works!

  4. Hello,
Can you please reply with the info for lines 31 and 32?
They look to be missing in the posted pattern lines.
    Thanks so much.

    1. Hi Gayle,
Apologies, there aren't any lines missing from the pattern the rows are just wrongly labelled. So row 33 is the row you should do straight after row 30 The pattern is correct I just cant count past 30 clearly! Apologies for any confusion!!

    2. Thanks so much for your reply! I follow written patterns to the letter, and copy lines into a Word doc so I can increase the size to larger for my ease of reading.
When saw the 2 numbers missing while preparing to start, I figured I better check with you first!
In my large print doc, I'll renumber/relabel my lines.
Thanks again for explaining the gap in numbering!
