Simple Quick Socks

Image
I have spent a lot of time recently working on things to send out to Ukraine so I haven't done a lot of designing. But I really needed a super quick and easy sock pattern so here we go again. I designed these socks so that they could be made up quickly and worked flat so they don't require double pointed needles which according to my baby sister are intimidating.  For these socks I have used two strands of DK weight yarn held together and they are knitted on 6 mm needles. Important if you are sending socks for Ukrainian soldiers is to make sure they have a high natural fibre content such as wool to try and help the prevention of trench foot.    Pattern abbreviations: K2tog - knit 2 together P2tog - purl 2 together   Cast on 35 stitches.  you need to use a loose cast on method so that the socks don't have a tight edge which can rub and break.  Row 1: K1, P1 across all stitches Row 2: P1, K1 across all stitches Work these rows until you have 65 rows on you
